Where do I start, how do I join?
The easiest way to start your progression of
advanced riding is to
purchase a Skills for Life package from the IAM in London. Once you
have registered and purchased your membership, you will become an IAM
associate and a member of the Scarborough and District Advanced Motorcyclists
group.
You will be contacted by the Scarborough group to discuss the next step,
where you will be assigned your own observer to help you Become a Better
Rider. It’s that simple.
Support for Associates preparing for the Advanced Motorcycle Test is provided
by the Scarborough Advanced Motorcyclists – all volunteers.
In addition, there is an on-line a forum where members can share ideas
and contribute to the IAM’s important work in developing and promoting
innovative Road Safety strategies.
Also, of course, our local group provides a social focus, where members
can meet and enjoy the company of fellow biking enthusiasts.
